Regardless of the fact which CAD system is used and on which file formats a presentation is to be based, PlanDesign enables users to quickly and easily combine sketches, pictures, text, floor plans or CAD drawings according to all wishes and requirements.

Innovative Leadership in Design and Layout
Now combined as one product, the third generation of D-Board together with PlanDesign V3 once again makes Nemetschek a leader in innovative technology. In design mode, users can use the “Sketching” tool to create drawings of any size which can easily and seamlessly be fitted in any presentation. The kind of creative and uncomplicated sketching of design ideas and presentation drawings with can now be accomplished with D-Board without thinking!

Just as drawing with a pencil on paper, users can now draw, write, design and navigate on a pressure-sensitive monitor with a digital, wireless pen. Apart from a wide range of pen thicknesses and paper types being provided, customers can achieve various color effects and other visualization highlights.
PlanDesign is perfectly linked with traditional CAD programs. As opposed to other layout programs, all freehand pixel lines created are vectorized. This offers the user a great advantage, as it allows them to not only send the data to a CAD program of custumers choice, but also to continue processing the data directly within that CAD program.

Unique Layout Program
PlanDesign’s comprehensive layout tool enables users to create convincing, professional presentation plans which stand out. These plans can consist of any combination of sketches, pictures, drawings, text or animated data which has been created using any software program of customers choice. The file format is absolutely irrelevant. CAD data remains vectorized data in PlanDesign and can be scaled – a unique feature for a layout program. In contrast to other layout programs which use bitmap files, the data volume in PlanDesign is always kept to a minimum and thus, users can quickly and easily edit presentations created using PlanDesign All source files are registered automatically, making organization and documentation tasks easy to handle. The entire presentation is then saved as one file allowing the user to then print or plot –even when the plans are meters long!
