Intelligent Design
Allplan Architecture is an object-oriented system. For example, a door "knows" that it is a door; it knows its attributes, but it also knows that it "belongs" in a wall and requires an opening. If a door is added, the host wall automatically creates an opening to fit. If a door is removed, the wall automatically heals itself. Each time something is changed, quantities, areas and volumes are automatically adjusted in the background so that they always remain accurate. Allplan also offers a system of "reference planes" which are used to define the levels of floors, ceilings, roofs, enabling a quick and easy design.



Detailed Drafting
Allplan's superior drafting tools offer intelligent snap modes, rotating crosshairs, simple to use 2D geometric drawing and editing tools and effortless conversion of 2D elements to 3D objects. Allplan's intelligent dimensioning and hatching are automatically updated to reflect any changes in your design. Modification of hatching, patterns and pattern lines are based on the drawing scale, enabling different levels of detail to be presented.
