New Engineering Features in Allplan 2005

Bridge and Civil Engineering Modeler

Until now, cross-section profiles have always been perpendicular to route profiles, and in the case of different values for the longitudinal inclination, Allplan has used the average value for calculations. Consequently, the cross-sections of routes with height curvature or defined height settings have not been perpendicular.

As perpendicular transverse profiles are commonly used in bridge
construction, you can now define the orientation of the cross-section profiles in the general properties. When the 'Align cross-section profiles with z axis' option is enabled, the cross-section profiles are aligned so that they are always perpendicular (i.e. parallel to the z axis) even when a height curvature is defined for the route in question.

Animation Settings

Visualizations are gaining in significance in your daily work – in particular, they play an important role when it comes to presenting
design ideas to your clients!
To ensure that the presentations you create are both impressive and realistic right from the outset, we revised the animation settings for engineering. Now you can define different default settings for formwork, fixtures, reinforcing bars and meshes.
