The internationally active Austrian construction company has recently decided to use Nemetschek software for its commercial applications. The contract for a large-scale project with an initial 350 cross-linked BAU financials PC-workstations has just been signed in Linz.

The Swietelsky Baugesellschaft m.b.H. is one of the most influential enterprises in the Austrian construction industry. It operates with subsidiaries in Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, Romania, Poland, Italy, Great Britain and Germany. Swietelsky ´s activities on the market cover all areas of the building trade: road construction, railway construction, building and civil engineering, bridge construction, general contractor services, tunnel -, hall -, sports facilities -, dumping ground construction; the production of asphalt ready-mix and ready-mix concrete.

After very close examination of the market the Swietelsky task group came to the conclusion that Bau financials were the most suitable solution. Due its branch knowledge it can cover the specific requirements of the company which is active in all areas of the building industry. Allplan, AUER SUCCESS and BAU financials together with a special module for the invoicing of the production of asphalt ready-mix and ready-mix concrete become an integrated total software solution with the help of the document management system DocuWare (also Nemetschek) for the Swietelsky construction company. The application will be implemented in several steps starting in April 2006. The branch solution will be implemented centrally on a server in Linz. All clients in the branch offices work on a host computer to which they are connected via a Citrix Metaframe network. At the moment the software implementation in the new network is being started, as well as trainings for the first users and the migration of existing master and variable data and the programming of various individual adaptations.
